Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Sports for All Federation applauded the success of its Sports for All Summer Programme 2026, in which various segments of society and all age groups across more than 65 locations took part. These locations included public parks, sports clubs, youth and commercial centres, neighbourhood playgrounds, schools, and various other sports facilities.

Adviser to the Minister of Sports and Youth and President of the Qatar Sports for All Federation Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al Dosari stated that the programme’s success is reflected in the growing community interest in sports, with the number of participants exceeding 36,100 across more than 65 different locations.

He noted that this significant turnout confirms the programme’s ability to reach diverse segments of society, instil the values of sports in children as an integral part of daily life, and contribute to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030. game-sweetbonanza.com

He appreciated the broad participation in the programme’s activities, which he considered an indicator of the Federation’s successful plans to expand the scope of its activities and reach the widest possible segment of the community by distributing events among sports clubs, youth centres, gyms, playgrounds, public parks, and schools. The ongoing support from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the fruitful cooperation with more than 50 partners, entities, and institutions, were among the most important factors in the programme’s success, Al Dosari said, adding that this support contributed to providing a comprehensive sporting environment and helped deliver an outstanding edition of the programme.

For his part, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation Abdullah Al Dosari said that the goal of the Sports for All Summer Programme 2026 was to reach the largest possible number of community members, especially children and youth and that this was achieved through the efforts of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, represented by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, and in cooperation with all federations, ministries, and various other entities, to transform the summer vacation into an opportunity for physical activity, promoting public health, building skills, and making the most of leisure time.

He noted that the program saw wide participation thanks to the diversity of activities and events, including the children’s camp at the Lusail Sports Hall, the step challenge in malls, as well as women’s events at Education City and Muay Thai and swimming training sessions.

Fenerbahçe have reportedly agreed to sell Egyptian centre-back Omar Fayed to Serie A side Frosinone for €500,000 plus bonuses.

The 23-year-old will travel to Italy on Thursday, August 13. He will undergo a medical before signing a four-year contract with Frosinone.

Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu first reported in July that Frosinone submitted an official bid for Fayed, and that the club opened talks with Fenerbahçe.

The clubs have now agreed a permanent transfer where Fenerbahçe will receive €500,000 plus performance-based add-ons linked to appearances.

Fayed joined Fenerbahçe from Arab Contractors in August 2023. He signed a contract until June 2027 and has not played a competitive match for the first team.

Instead, he has spent three straight seasons on loan. He first joined Serbian side Novi Pazar in 2023/24. He made 21 appearances in all competitions there.

Fayed then moved to Beerschot. He played 15 matches for the Belgian club in the 2024/25 season.

He then spent last season at Portuguese side Arouca. He made 10 appearances after joining on loan with an option to buy, but an injury kept him out from January until the end of the season.

Frosinone moved for Fayed after interest from several clubs. KingFut reported last month that Polish side Pogoń Szczecin also held talks with Fenerbahçe, as clubs in Egypt and Europe also tracked him.

Fayed played five matches for Egypt at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Egypt reached the semi-finals and finished fourth and he earned a place in the tournament’s best XI.

If the transfer goes through, Fayed will join a Frosinone side back in Serie A. The club finished second in Italy’s second division last season.

أكد عبد العزيز شريف، المسؤول الإعلامي بنادي الشمال الرياضي، أن استعدادات الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي تسير بشكل جيد قبل أيام من انطلاق الموسم الجديد، مشيراً إلى أن الأمور تسير كما هو مخطط لها من قبل الجهازين الإداري والفني للفريق.
وقال شريف في تصريحاته للموقع الرسمي لنادي الشمال: «قدم الشمال مردوداً رائعاً في الموسم الماضي ونافس على لقب الدوري حتى الجولة الأخيرة من المسابقة، وجاء في المركز الثاني ما سيسمح له بالمشاركة في دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة للمرة الأولى في تاريخه، وبالتالي نتطلع للأفضل في الموسم المقبل الذي لن يكون سهلاً على الإطلاق».
وأضاف: «تنتظرنا استحقاقات قوية؛ سواء على المستوى المحلي أمام نخبة من الفرق الكبيرة ، أو على المستوى القاري، ونأمل أن نكون في الموعد ونحقق أهدافنا المرجوة».
وحول الصفقات الجديدة، أشار عبد العزيز إلى أن المسؤولين في النادي حرصوا على متابعة العديد من المواهب خلال بطولة كأس العالم للناشئين تحت 17 سنة التي أقيمت في قطر، وهي البطولة التي تابع النادي خلالها اللاعبين دابو وباياس بالتنسيق مع لجنة الاستكشاف التي قامت بجهود كبيرة في إبرام مثل هذه الصفقات المميزة والاستثمارية للنادي.
وأضاف: «هدف إدارة نادي الشمال من الصفقات الجديدة، سواء السنغالي دابو أو من قبله الأوروغوياني باياس، يتمثل في استقطاب اللاعبين الشباب؛ والأمر هنا لا يتوقف على دعم الفريق والاستفادة من إمكانيات لاعبينا الجدد فقط، وإنما يتعدى ذلك إلى الاستثمار في هؤلاء اللاعبين، خاصة أن العديد منهم أعمارهم صغيرة.
