Bob Lemon Returns to Coach Kernels Soccer in 2026

Former Mitchell High School girls soccer coach Bob Lemon is returning to lead the Kernels in 2026, MHS announced on Tuesday. Lemon previously coached the team for six seasons from 2017 to 2022, compiling a 36-41-6 record during that span.

Lemon takes over after Kindra Decker resigned as coach in January. The team was 5-10 last season and 10-18-1 over the past two seasons. Currently a science teacher at MHS, Lemon has served as an assistant coach for the track and field team for the last two seasons and has previous coaching experience with boys soccer and track at Mitchell Christian. librea.one
