Braves Place Acuña Jr. on 10-Day IL

The Atlanta Braves have placed star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring. The five-time All-Star left Saturday's game in the second inning after pulling up while running out a ground ball.

The Braves, who own the best record in baseball at 24-10, will have to manage without one of their top players. Acuña, the 2023 National League MVP, is batting .252 with two home runs, nine RBIs and seven steals in 34 games this season.

Atlanta activated right-hander Spencer Strider from the injured list prior to Sunday's start for his season debut. The Braves also selected outfielder José Azócar's contract from the minors while optioning Hunter Stratton to Triple-A Gwinnett. goldparty.lat
