Cornish Pirates have announced a new investment from American firm Stonewood Capital Management Inc., led by Kenn Moritz and John Tippins. The deal follows the recent appointment of businessman Richard Wastnage to the club’s board and comes as the club seeks to bolster its position in the Championship and beyond.
Chief executive Sally Pettipher said the backing from experienced US investors is a powerful endorsement of the club’s strategy and long‑term vision. Pirates currently sit seventh in the league and still have a chance to reach the playoffs with their final match against Hartpury RFC. catcross.org
