USC Suspends Stephens for Hit on Moore

Stephens was ejected from the game after being called for targeting when he hit Moore in the head as the quarterback attempted to slide during a first-half scramble. The Trojan athletic department described the play as 'unacceptable' and 'disgusting.'

Moore was carted off the field and transported to a local hospital. An Oregon spokesperson confirmed that Moore has movement in all extremities and is undergoing further evaluation. USC's 41-27 loss to Oregon was marred by the incident that has now resulted in disciplinary action against Stephens. xsportfeed.quest
