White Sox End 18-Year Playoff Drought

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Houston Astros 7-3 on Wednesday to sweep their AL Wild Card Series, ending an 18-year playoff drought.

The South Side franchise, which had lost 100 games in each of the previous three seasons, will now face AL Central champion Cleveland in the AL Division Series. Despite Munetaka Murakami's struggles at the plate (1 hit, 5 strikeouts), the team celebrated their historic turnaround under manager Will Venable. hilogame.news
