MSU football offers, lines up visit with 4-star Big Ten commit QB

Michigan State football has recently extended an offer to a big-time quarterback committed to a fellow Big Ten school, with a spring visit reportedly set to follow.

Kamden Lopati of Salt Lake City, Utah picked up an offer from the Spartans last month, and he is now reportedly set to visit Michigan State this upcoming spring. According to Jason Killop of On3, Lopati will visit Michigan State in the spring, with Lopati stating he's "excited" about his upcoming trip to East Lansing, Mich.

Lopati is listed as a four-star quarterback, with a recruiting rating of 94.52 in 247Sports composite system. He ranks as the No. 9 quarterback and No. 114 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

Lopati is currently committed to Illinois, with his verbal commitment to Fighting Illini coming last July. But in recent weeks, he's picked up a ton of additional interest on the recruiting trail. According to 247Sports, Lopati holds more than 20 offers, with Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida and Michigan State extending him an offer in February.
