Flyers beat Maple Leafs 3-2 in shootout, extend losing streak

Matvei Michkov and Trevor Zegras scored in the shootout as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Monday, extending Toronto's losing streak to four games.

Noah Cates gave Philadelphia a 2-1 lead late, but William Nylander tied it on a power play with just over two minutes remaining. Travis Konecny was absent for the Flyers, while Auston Matthews failed to score in the shootout despite returning from the Olympics.
