Stevens Backs Mazzulla As Celtics Excel

Boston Celtics president Brad Stevens is not surprised by the team's 41-20 record or coach Joe Mazzulla's emergence as an NBA Coach of the Year candidate.

In a recent interview with Dan Shaughnessy of The Boston Globe, Stevens credited the Celtics' success to players embracing new roles and excellent coaching. 'We like the character of our group. We have some really good players that have been there, done that,' Stevens said.

He specifically praised Mazzulla's competitiveness, intelligence, work ethic, and relationship-building abilities. 'He's always been probably more ready than everybody realized,' Stevens added. With Jayson Tatum close to returning, the Celtics appear poised to become even stronger as they continue their impressive season.
