Fightful Select has clarified the timeline of Tommaso Ciampa's WWE departure and AEW debut, debunking earlier reports.

Fightful Select has clarified that Tommaso Ciampa couldn't have debuted with AEW on January 21 as he was still under contract with WWE at that time. His surprise appearance on January 28 came together at the last minute while Ciampa was on a family vacation in Texas.

After debuting on 'AEW Dynamite,' he continued his vacation, appeared on 'AEW Collision,' won the TNT Championship from Mark Briscoe, and still had time to finish his vacation before the next week's TV shows.
