Stewart Powers Mist Past Plum for Unrivaled Title

Breanna Stewart scored 32 points to lead the Mist to an 80-74 victory over Kelsey Plum and the top-seeded Phantom in the Unrivaled championship game on Wednesday night.

The Mist secured the $600,000 championship prize after overcoming a 24-18 first-quarter deficit. Plum set a playoff record with 40 points, including six three-pointers, but Stewart's 10-point third-quarter surge proved decisive as the Mist claimed their first Unrivaled title.

Each Mist player earned $100,000 for the championship victory, double the amount awarded to last season's champions. The victory came after the Mist had previously lost to the Phantom twice during the regular season of the WNBA offseason three-on-three league.
